I actually did pretty good and didn't go overboard. But, I'll go back again & again. I just can't help myself. I guess I could have much worse addictions but I love this one and I don't want treatment.

Hi, my name is Omega and I'm a fabricaholic
Yes, it's true. I've been trying to get my stash whittled down a bit but I just can't seem too. So, the other evening on my way home from work, I just made a casual visit to a local fabric store "G-Street Fabrics". It's pretty convenient to stop on my way home so I just wanted to stop in to see what new stuff was in. I love to visit the $2.97/yd table at the back of the store. So, I strolled into the store Oooing & Awwwing all the way back to my favorite spot...the $2.97 table. There were mounds & mounds of fabric on the table and I often find some real treasures there. So, here's what I got...
I actually did pretty good and didn't go overboard. But, I'll go back again & again. I just can't help myself. I guess I could have much worse addictions but I love this one and I don't want treatment.
HAPPY SEWING!!

ReplyDeleteGo ahead and suffer with your illness! Do not seek treatment, and don't volunteer for for trials either!
ReplyDeleteAmen. Well said, my fabric addiction is now to the point where I am beginning to feel like I need to go to fabric anonymous, Oh well I am happy with my fabric insanityyyyyyy! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi my name is Jada and I am also a fabrichlic!LOL You are not the only one.We don't need help we just need fabric LOL!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya............I keep saying fabric diet for me while I'm bringing in sacks of the wonderful deals I have found. I just can't help myself!
ReplyDeletePretty haul of fabric and looking forward to what becomes of them.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone! I have the same symptoms! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sooooo jealous! I mean I was at that $2.97 a yard table earlier this year and got the most amazing dress made from fabric bought there. I would be stopping by that table every weekend...so I think you are showing great restraint.
ReplyDelete...and we all know I'm an unrepentant fabricaholic so there is no more to say after that!
It's nice to have so many cohorts, we can be each other's support group...LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be in DC in August. I will have to go check out the $2.97 table!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooo, I love your fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am addicted to fabric (and patterns)!
You got some GREAT fabrics that are soon to be in season!!!! Two dollars and ninety seven cents? You did the right thing Omega.....you did the RIGHT thing!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't get the issue. I fail to see this as a problem. LOL I LOVE fabric shopping and I miss G Street fabric. I've been to all 3 locations, but I like the Rockville location best. I lived in Columbia, MD before moving to Ohio.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Renee & GodgirlT, I'm originally from Ohio (born & raised) I relocated to MD a few years ago. If not for timing maybe we could have been sewing buddies!
ReplyDeleteI agree it's an addiction but I have been very good this year in keeping my purchases to a minimum. I have yet to visit the inner sanctum of G Street. But between you, Cidell and Trena, I feel I may be adding to my stash before the year is out.
ReplyDeleteLove G Street Fabrics! When I'm in the DC area, I always have to stop by. Girl, I so relate to your addiction...Step one: Recognize you have a problem. Step two: Deny how much you actually spend on fabric. Step three: Hide purchases whenever neccessary. Step four: learn to live with the fact that fabric is your best friend. Step five: Assist and enable other fabric-aholics with their addiction by posting your purchases and known suppliers on your blog.
ReplyDeleteLynneb,
ReplyDeleteI love how you break it down. A woman after my own heart! LOL!!
Beauty fabric. And guess what? You're are not alone. I'm a fabricaholic too! It's overwhelming these days. I've got to cut back. Tee Hee.
