It's Been One Year...

My brother passed away one year ago yesterday. This has been one of the hardest years of my life but by God's wonderful Grace we have been able to move forward. We have awesome memories to cherish but still I miss him so much. My brother John left such a large print on our hearts, everyone who knew him still celebrates the fact that he touched their life. I spent the day yesterday with my sister-in-law and thankfully it was a wonderful day of reflection, joy, laughs, and tears but most of all peace in our hearts. The family has grown closer, our circle of influence had grown wider and our faith has been strengthened. GOD IS GRACIOUS and John will always be remembered. I also thank each of you who has kept my family and me in your prayers throughout this year.

Once again I have sad news...

There's been another death in the family. Actually my sister-in-law's family. If you remember last year I lost my brother and that has made this past year very difficult. My sister-in-law, the widow of my brother has lost her sister. In my family I didn't have any sisters, only brothers...5 of them. So it has been very special to me that I have been very close to her family and they treat me just like a sister and this makes my heart very heavy. Her dear sister Nanci has had a very long 23 year battle with cancer, she fought long and hard. She passed on her birthday last Thursday, so now she is at peace and no more pain. So, I'm preparing to go to Fla. for her service, please keep the family in your prayers.

My saddest day...

Monday morning Aug. 10th I lost my dear baby brother, John T. Brooks. We were very, very close. He was much more than a brother to me, because our mother died when he was only 14/yrs old so I helped to raise him. As life's journey continued he accomplished much. He worked hard, played hard, lived with more love & passion than anyone I know. He loved his family and friends, everyone that knew him no matter how long instantly knew they found a friend indeed. He was a loving husband, father of two beautiful daughters and three lovely little grand daughters and a friend to many all over this world. He finished two Master's degrees and was called to ministry. He lived for God and taught others to know Christ. He represented Christ well and I know he is now reunited with our mom & dad and just awaiting the rest of us to get there one day. It will be a grand reunion. Until then there will always be a irreplaceable hole in my heart. I'll always love you my dear brother...RIP.
