I'm still here...

First let me say that my thoughts and prayers are going out to everyone affected by the storm Sandy along the east coast.  My heart really goes out to New Jersey & New York I pray for a quick recovery from this disaster.  I've talked to a few friends & family along the coast and over all everyone is safe, some without power but safe.  Yes, I still here alive and well, the Washington, DC area got hit but nothing like the east coast.
I know it seems that I've deserted my blog but I haven't really, I actually been missing the connections, (I know it's my fault).  However lately I just haven't had a bit of sewing Mojo.  Where it went I don't know.  There is a light at the end of this tunnel though, thanks to talking with a wonderful friend who reached out and due to the recent storm Sandy we touched base tonight just to see how each other was doing.  My friend Alethia at Kassmin's Creations have sparked a bit of motivation in me.  I've actually been doing other crafts lately and she encouraged me to post about it here, so I will.  I've been doing paper crafting and loving it.  Somehow it's been so relaxing and easier to share with my non-sewing friends. Here's just a peek at what I've been up to other than sewing...
Birthday Card for Friend

Birthday Card for a friend's mother
Another birthday card for a friend.
A card for a friend who had breast cancer

I'll post more from time to time but I really think my mojo might be finding it's way back thanks to my talk with Alethia.   If you'd like to follow my paper crafting blog click this link...
So, back to sewing, I recently bought over $100 worth of fabric thinking it would spark my mojo but it didn't.  The spark I needed was that little chat with Alethia, some laughs and knowing that all is well was just the kick I needed.  Thanks for the kick Alethia!!  LOL!

More later...

Happy crafting,
Omega

  1. Glad to see you posting! Sewing friends are the best! Sometimes the conversation is all that it takes. Your cards are lovely and I can't wait see what you sew next.

  2. It was great talking to you.Your cards are beautiful. How about using the color scheme of your cards as the color theme for a two piece wardrobe and then slowly add a third piece.
